The Avro Type 694, better known as the Avro Lincoln, was a British four-engined heavy bomber, which first flew on 9 June 1944. Developed from the Avro Lancaster, the first Lincoln variants were initially known as the Lancaster IV and V, these were renamed Lincoln I and II. It was the last piston-engined bomber operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF).
This set allows you to buils a 1/72 scale version of the Lancaster Follow on, The Lincoln. Utilizing the Airfix kit #8002 of the Lancaster and the DB Conversion kit parts, an Avro Lincoln as used By the RAF in the early post was years and early Cold War period. This is meant for an experienced modeler. The conversion kits include Vacuform and Resin parts. Decals must be sourced separately.
